So normally when I am in town I have a vehicle. This time I chose not to get one as I was staying downtown so I figured I could walk to a lot of places and I am here to relax. But one of my favorite things about coming to Vegas is all the sushi places. I have my favorite but they are over in china town , so I figured I would try out a spot closer to my hotel and Fremont St. I saw that this place has a lot of good reviews so I figured I would try it out. I have to say I like the decor inside lots of wood and I really like the light over the long table in the middle of the place, the paper lanterns really add to the ambiance. I tried out four different rolls and quite a few of the nigiri sushi. Some of my favorites were the hamachi nigiri, masago nigiri, smoked salmon nigiri, the surf clam was good. The tuna was also good. Really liked the Long Island Roll. So for Fremont street it is convenient and good. The service was excellent, the waitress was quick and friendly the chefs were fast. The ingredients were good, the only thing was a guy sitting at the end of the bar. After a while I guess he was a manager or owner and just seemed to make the employees a little uncomfortable. Other wise the food was good, service was great and has a nice ambiance. If you're staying downtown it is very convenient especially if you don't want to take a taxi or ride share to somewhere off the strip.

For a place that's not in Chinatown, this was not bad for AYCE sushi. I don't think it has as much variety like the other places but what I had was still good. I don't eat the rolls and will focus on the nigiri since I don't want all the sauces drizzled on top. I mostly got the salmon, yellowtail, tuna, albacore, ikura, and mackerel and they were decent quality! The fish was pretty fresh and were pretty big slices compared to the ratio of the rice. They have other stuff like appetizers, dessert, small and big rolls. Smaller menu compared to some some other AYCE places but if you know what you like, then this place is sufficient.

A friend and I came here for dinner one day, and it was delicious! We both went with all-you-can-eat, and I ordered a Peach Soju. The service was great, we were helped promptly, and the restaurant was pretty and clean. We couldn't ask for more!

In San Francisco, $35 would get me two maki rolls. On Fremont Street, it gets you an absolutely insane range of options with decent to good quality of fish! I thought the weakest was the tuna -- it was a bit mealy and pale, which is typical for mid-tier frozen maguro. But used for spicy tuna or tucked into rolls, I didn't mind! Other options, like ikura (salmon roe), salmon, amaebi, yellowtail, and red snapper were excellent. The broiled salmon collar and fried coconut shrimp were table favorites. Despite the goofy name, we loved the "orgasm" roll, too. I prefer cut rolls with a base of tuna or tempura, and there were plenty of creative options built around that. The only bite I really didn't like was their uni, which smelled sulfurous and tasted bitter. I've had better AYCE in Vegas -- Jjanga and Ono come to mind -- but given I was staying at the El Cortez literally 50 feet from Sushi Ichiban, I was very happy to get a good meal for a great price on Fremont Street, which can be pricey.
